Project: 3D modeling/animating

Description:

As my knowledge and understanding of 3d modeling and animating grows I’ve enjoyed exploring many different aspects of CGI. I have always built worlds in my head. Until recent I just have had tons of drawings of my ideas and a few SketchUp models. Below are some very recent projects I have been working on as well as a few old ones that have been on a back burner for a bit. I hope you enjoy looking through them.

This is a video I made for my Church. All the animations where made by me.

I am building a small domestic scene from one of my favorite books. This is the kitchen fan. Its just a fun opportunity for me to improve my modeling skills.

I am also designing my own concept vehicle. So far I’ve only modeled a tire.

This was a piece I made for my Web Developer portfolio. I synced up the video with the scrolling so as you scroll down the page the video plays. Its not quite finished yet but you can check out the website here: https://graham91.github.io/PortfolioNew/

I recomend checking out the Rock Paper Scissor Lizzard Spock site. It shows off alot of fun Art work I made.

I've been experimenting with makehuman its a blender compatable tool for quickly modeling a riggable human.

The animation moves faster than I want it to, mainly because my surface wasn't meant to produce long volume renderings. But This is a fun little spiritual concept video, featuring one of my favorite spiritual teachers "Mooji". It was a good opportunity for me to improve my Smoke renderings, I look forward to the day when I will have a machine that can handle more detailed sims.

Working with making my own custom textures. My skills in gimp/photoshop come in handy here.

This carousel shows a bunch of random stuff. All the house hold items are part of the domestic scene I mentioned earlier.

I've been learning alot about cloth sims latetly. I'm having a blast with those. The couch was a ton of fun to model.

I included a few sketchup models, because they are a part of that domestic project. I still perfer building houses in sketchup. I figure thats ok, because thats what it was made for. A year ago I only knew sketchup. Some of the Monsters you see on the other page where done almost entirely in sketchup. Absolute nightmare. Lol.

The staircase Is something I did in college, I actually scultped and 3D scanned the guy holding the pillar.

The feather serpents on the staircase is actually the begining of a fountain from an aztec temple I designed a few years back. Once again done in sketchup. lol I'm looking forward to finishing it, probably remodeling it in blender(the sktechup tools were problematic), and then trying out a water sim.
